As an incentive to encourage autocross enthusiasts across the state to participate in their club's yearly or series championship, ACCO created the "Oregon Shootout Invitational".
The following are invited to OSI:
- Class champion and 1st runner-up from any Oregon club
- The previous year's OSI "Top Dawg", "Quick Chick" and "Category Dawgs"
- Any Class Champion & 1st runner up from the 2022 SCCA Solo National Championship.
This event is held over two full days on four* courses. The times of the four* courses are combined and then multiplied by the PAX based upon the cars category and class.
*If track and turnout allows.
PAX is a handicapping method to make every car equal if driven to it potential. The driver with the lowest overall "PAX" time gains bragging rights as the "Top Dawg" or "Quick Chick" of Oregon.
Who competes in the Shootout?
Every type of skilled driver from the weekend warrior to the National competitor.
We added Category Dawgs to recognize those in
Street (S, CAM/C/T/S, ST/F/S/X/R/U/P, TR,+L),
Street Prepared (SP, SSR, SMF, +L),
Prepared (P, HCR, SM, SSM, OSPO/U, +L)
Modified (M, FSAE, Karts, +L).
